Project Life | Week 17

I didn't post last week but I did finish last week. There was just too much personal stuff to cover up, I felt it wasn't even worth posting last week. But I'm back and I'm posting this week!

This week is a mix of Clementine background paper and Honey and Mayfield Childhood Edition journal cards. I really tried but I couldn't resist the sale at acdigitals.com on the Mayfield Edition last week. The cards go really well with the Honey edition and being able to mix and match gives me more options. As always, you can see my Pinterest Board for links to products I used on my pages.

Project Life | Week 15

This week I used background paper from the Clementine Edition (like the rest of my book so far) but I got the Honey Edition this week on acdigitals.com and used mostly those journal cards. I wasn't planning to get it but I just love the bright colors and I wanted bright colors for this week and couldn't really find anything I liked in the Clementine Edition. I really like the cheery colors and I like the variety of photos I have for this week. I like that I have some artwork, text message, notes, etc. I wish the rest of my weeks had this much variety. It does make it a little more difficult to coordinate things on the page then but that's why I like the rainbow of colors in the Honey Edition. I think it helps. Project Life | Week 14

Yay! I'm all caught up on project life! I didn't have too many photos from this week so I decided to highlight the cute  Instagram Easter pictures on the right page with Design E. I'm not sure I like the order they are in but couldn't think of a better way to place them and didn't really bother with any embellishments except for the Easter stamp. I think the photos were cute enough on their own and I was playing catch-up so I didn't want to spend a lot of time on it.

On the left side I used some Olive Edition cards with the Clementine paper and embellishments. You can find links to products I use in my project life on my Pinterest Board.

Project Life | Week 13

Oh yes, I'm catching up! Look at me go.

This week was all about my dad visiting. I love my dad. I love my mom too (she's the best!). But I've always been a daddy's girl. I miss having him around now that we live so far away and it's a little harder for him to have time off to visit then my mom, so the time he gets to spend with us is precious. We had a lot of fun with him. I especially liked to see him with Violet. Our trip to Home Depot reminded me of the many trips I made to Home Depot (his favorite store) when I was growing up. So bored going down every isle! Haha. And our little hike reminded me of the many camping/hunting trips I went on with him when I was younger too. He is a great dad, he was very protective and I always felt safe with him. (I could say so much more about him.) I decided to include some of those little memories on these pages. I want my kids to know who their grandparents are and what they meant to me. I would love to know more about my grandparents then I do. 

I think a lot of times when I am putting these pages together, that is what I consider. If this was me as a child, what would I want to know about these pictures? And that is what I try to include. Sometimes it feels like I can't fit all of what I want to say in these pages but I also have to remind myself that if I put too much in it will be overwhelming and probably never get read. I try to find the balance.
