We have sponsored a child from Ecuador for about 8 years now. We are able to send letters to her and receive letters from her. I would love to visit her one day but the trip is just too expensive. At Christmas, I try to put a little "present" together for her. It's very limited in what you can include, mostly just small paper items. I got a 2012 calendar, an "M" notebook and stickers and few other little things. As far away as she is, she feels like a little part of our family.
