This week I used Design C for both pages. That wasn't my original plan but it was the only way I was seeing everything fit the way I wanted it to.
I also decided to focus more on pictures of "things" instead of people. I love to take pictures of my cute kids but sometimes pictures of things can tell even more of a story then just a picture of their faces and I have plenty of pictures of their faces :) Plus this changes it up a little bit this week.
I also wanted to try the 'picture a day' approach and I used Ali Edwards overlays for the photos to label them by day.
Since I needed to write my journaling on a 6x4 size card I decided to make my own with the Project Life Digital elements I already had.
And that's it for this week!

What a clever idea! I get sooo involved in my layouts...and they take about an hour to two hours per page adding every little embellishment...but I am only on the third page of his baby book and he is 18 mos...so you can see how that is working out for me! I think I may adopt your simpler style which is still super cute!(I also need to incorporate less faces and more objective pictures!
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite picture is the one at the playground with the Target drink & food bag in the foreground. I like the perspective and yes, the story it tells :) Must have been a fun day!
ReplyDeleteoooh I love the target snack at the park, great photo :) I also loved how you journalled bullet style great idea :) I need to try that.
ReplyDeleteThose Ali Edwards overlays look great on your lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteGreat pages. I always struggle with design C, so glad to see you use it and make it work. Inspiration!
ReplyDeleteOh, I like this layout too. I have been shying away from my 'plain' 4x6 pp, but you made them look really elegant. I like the daily overlays.
ReplyDeletevery nice! I love Ali's digital overlays as well! Love the picture with the Target drink/popcorn & the picture of the little "people guy".
