Hmmmm... Wednesday... middle of the week and it felt like it all day. Same routine, woke up about 7:00am and Hunter followed around 8:00am. Violet didn't seem to be waking up any time soon so we went downstairs to eat breakfast without her around 9:00am. Hunter likes to play this game sometimes like he is at a restaurant ordering food and then when I bring it to him I have to announce what it is, "One bowl of Fruit Loops in an orange bowl and an Eggo with syrup." He says, "Right here!" After he finishes his breakfast he runs upstairs to his piggy bank and pulls out some coins and when I'm not looking leaves them on the breakfast table for my 'tip'. I think it's cute. I play along and act excited about my tip. Then I make him clean up his dishes. :)
Hunter got a hold of my camera again and started taking some self-portraits. He really likes pictures of his muscles, he takes after my brother, his Uncle 'Meme.'
After breakfast, Hunter turned on the TV and Regis & Kelly was on. He was being sweet to me and said it was on and he knows I like the show so he wanted to let me watch it before he played the Wii. Around 9:45am, Violet finally woke up when we went up to check on her. Then Hunter and I played a couple games on the Wii Cars 2 game.

| Hunter got 4th place as Lightning McQueen and I got last place as Holley Shiftwell. |
Around 10am, I went upstairs to shower and get ready for the day. After my shower I got a call from my mom and we talked for a little bit about her coming tomorrow. I can't wait for her to get here. She is an awesome Grandma and really helps with the kids. I'm looking forward to having the company and the help. Since we moved here, I am with the kids around the clock and most of the time it is
just me and the kids. I love being with my kids but sometimes it wears on me talking to a 4 year old and 1 year old only all of the time. Sometimes I feel like my brian is totally fried and I'm going looney. Then I usually talk Brian's ear off when he comes home, happy to finally talk to an adult, but he's usually been talking to people all day and so he is tired and just ready to relax. Anyway, looking forward to having my mom here for a week!
Then my good friend from home called and I enjoyed talking to her so much. I miss her a ton! We use to get the kids together and let them play usually once a week and be able to just talk, mostly about the kids but about a lot of things. She's probably one of the best friends I've had and I hope to stay close to her. We have so much in common and I value her friendship so much. We planned to Skype later in the day so the kids could talk.
Around noon, we ate lunch. The kids had chicken nuggets. I made a Bertolli pasta for myself and gave the kids some. They loved it! The three of us devoted that bag of pasta. I'll have to get another one next time we go to the store.
After lunch I finished doing my hair and getting dressed. Hunter played on the computer for a little while and I snapped a couple of self portraits.
I changed Violet's diaper, got the kids dressed, and decided it was a time for a trip to mommy's favorite store, Target!

| She actually insisted on wearing the pink bow instead of the purple one. Gotta love girls! |
 |
| My prescription sunglasses, I thought I lost these last week and was so sad. I was thrilled when I found them under our bed. |
 |
| So happy these stores are so close to our house! |
 |
| Oh yeah, Super Target, they have it all! |
Before leaving for Target, Hunter fished out $4.00 from his piggy bank hoping to find a specific Car he has been wanting "Miguel Camino". They haven't had it since the movie came out and for some reason he really has his heart set on it. So we got to Target and checked the toy section first, well they actually had the car but it was in a set which cost $12.99 instead of $3.99 like he planned. So the negotiating and begging began. "Mommy, can you just use some of your money? I've wanted this my whole life!" Lol, he's only even know about the car for a month or two. So I tell him I'll think about it while we shop for what we actually came for. I want to just buy it for him because I love to see him so happy and excited, but he is so spoiled and I know it's not good to just buy him a new toy. Finally, I tell him that if he doesn't have enough money at home to pay for it, then I will keep the toy and he will have to work for it, pulling weeds, helping with the dishes, cleaning his room, etc. He's happy with that answer since it's his only option, even though he can't wait to open it and play with it. On the way home, I stop for my drug, Starbucks, or as my husband calls it "Crackbucks."

| Here is his new toy, he just can't wait to get into it! |
It turns out he had enough money in his bank even though it just about wiped out his bank. He was okay with it.

| Mmmmm.... |
When we got home, we got on Skype with Hunter's friend. They were too cute, talking about their toys and showing each other the different cars they have. Hunter really misses him. I love Skype/iChat and of course Facebook. They help us to stay connected and not feel so far away from our friends and family.
Violet was still sleeping when we got home so I sent Hunter up to his room to play with his new toys and turned on the movie I rented yesterday and never got to watch. I actually made it through the whole thing too. Hunter came back downstairs at the end and Violet woke up, but I did get to see it all. I love watching movies, especially love stories.
After the movie, I put the potatoes in the oven even though I was dreading making dinner for some reason tonight. I just feel done and want a break! The kids are whiny and Violet seems to only be happy if I'm holding her and giving her my full attention.
Brian got home about 6:00pm just before I was about to start getting dinner ready and said Hunter could get on a tball team but practice was starting in an hour. I was happy to ditch dinner plans! So we got the kids ready and went to Subway for a quick dinner and then headed to the park for tball. All Violet wanted to do while Hunter practiced was run wild. She saw a puppy and wanted to see it. She saw a rock and wanted to throw it. She saw a mound of dirt and wanted to walk up and down it. She was so proud when she could make it up and down it without falling. She is so cute.

I'm not sure why I didn't take a picture of Hunter at his first practice. I guess because I wasn't sure if we would be able to continue with tball. He will be starting Cubbies at our church on Wednesday nights in a couple weeks and if that conflicted with tball we were going to have to back out of tball. Let me tell you they take this sport seriously here! Full embroidered uniforms, running plays, 3 practices a week serious! I know he'll love it but I worry if it will be too much for him since he is starting school for the first time soon also. But Brian talked to the coach after practice and he said it's fine to miss Wednesdays when we need to, so Hunter will get to play! He played first base tonight at practice and did pretty well.
After practice, we had a family treat at Dairy Queen. It's just wrong that we live so close to one now, and that they have a Triple Chocolate Blizzard I can't resist. We all love ice cream!
 |
| Funny picture, but this has become "our table." We always sit here. |
 |
| She is a NUT over ice cream. "More please! More please! PLEASE! MORE!" |
 |
| The kids lovin' on daddy because the restaurant was so cold! |
We got home around 9pm and the kids played for a little bit. Hunter played with his new car and got a hold of my camera again.
 |
| Hunter took this picture of his car on the kitchen table along with a bunch of other stuff like my computer, camera, and a snack bowl. |
 |
| Hunter took this picture too, and it's his hand in the picture. Not to bad Hunter! |
A little after 9pm, Brian took the kids up to bath time. They got all clean and good smelling' and then Hunter and Daddy played the Wii for a little while, while Violet whined at me. I was trying to upload pictures and start this blog. Around 10:30pm, Brian knew I had had enough of Violet and took her up to bed. He is such a good daddy. He can usually read me and sense when I need a break, and he usually acts on it to help me out. He is a good man! By 11pm, I have Hunter in bed and asleep and head back downstairs to watch the Big Brother episode on the DVR. I love DVR! Then, I decide to finish up this blog instead of going to bed, now it's 12:30am and I'm rambling. Must go to bed! Maybe I'll add more in the morning... maybe not.
What a perfectly wonderful slice of your life! You will be so grateful to have all these details later in life when kids are self-sufficient and days are less busy. And it sounds like your kids will love having them, too. Great work! Keep it up!
